1. What was your favorite vacation location and how did you heard about it?
I think that my favorite vacation location is Thailand,in the South-East of Asia.My luck is that my family is well-to-do,so I done everything I wanted. Since I was I child I dreamed off visiting strange and exotic places,and my opinion is that Thailand is one of them.So as a child I gathered the informations about all kind of places,and Thailand was on top off my list.
2. Did you travel alone or with your family/friends (how many) ?
Every time I want to travel in a expedition I always take my best friend,because he shares my passion and he is not afraid of wilderness,the same as me. So only the two of us travel,and sometimes we meet there others who have this passion.
3. How much time did you spend finding out information about this location and what resources did you use to do it (online sites/traveling agencies/friends).
I must say that I spend a lot of time searching for the informations,not only for Thailand,but for all kind of places. Let’s say that probably all my childhood. I used as resources books of geography,online sites about these places,and of course before we went to a expedition we appealed to travel agencies.
4. Can you tell us the thing you like most in this place?
There are a lot of things that I liked there,first of all was going to the jungle,it was a very interesting trip,to see all the animals very close to us gave us an unknown feeling. In this trip we experienced the nature,in the same place we saw people’s,animal’s and plant’s life. We had a guide so he took us to places that tourists normally don’t see,for example he took us to a village,Behtter,where the lifestyle didn’t changed for a century and this really impressed me.
5. What were the bad/ugly sides of your vacation?
The bad sides of the trip was that we did not have transportation,so we had to walk,a lot,thousandths of kilometers,but in the end it worth it. And the mosquito at night were really my enemies,we tried everything but we couldn’t drove them away.
6. How was your room (did you had everything you need).
I had a room but I only stayed there one night,in that night when I arrived to Thailand. Afterwards I spend my nights in my tent . so I must say that this trip didn’t had the comfort and the luxury with that I am used to.
7. Did you take a digital camera (what model), a laptop or any other gadgets with you? (name of the gadget).
In these kind of trips I only take my camera,my Kodak 6490,and of course my Sony video recorder.
8. How were the people there (the reception and people you meet)
Here I meet people that are in top with the modern life and with technology and I also meet people whose lifestyle didn’t change for a century. But in every case,the people were nice,warm and eager to know things about other places in the world.
9. Did you make any new friends (are you still keeping in touch).
I can’t really say that I made friends ,and if I did I could not keep in touch with them because of their backward lifestyle. I think that our guide was our closest friend there,we followed him everywhere.
10. How did you spend your time? Did you participate in any recreational activities?
I spend my time there walking a lot and discovering also a lot of places unknown for us and for most of the people in the whole world,so I think that we were lucky that we experienced this adventure,because it really was an adventure.
11. What places did you visited? (Museums, resorts, sport facilities)
I saw life here like it was in other dimension,the jungle was in fact like a jungle,I know that it sounds strange but there everybody fought for their own life,and there only the stronger one survive. I visited the ancient historic temples and I found that the natives are very fond of these temples and all their events in life are bound of these ones. So I guess that these temples impressed me most.
12. What other vacation location would you recommend to the public?
The list of places that I recommend is very long but I only recommend places where adventure is your best friend and some of these places is Thailand and the safari from south Africa.
