1. What was your favorite vacation location and how did you heard about it?
I think that my favorite vacation location is Athens , the capital city of Greece. I found out about this location accidentally from a travel agency at first I wanted to choose another place but the girl from the agency that they have a very good offer at Athens and she told me some things about this location and at the end I decided to change location, so this is my story about choosing this dream-location. She told me that this beautiful city is named after the goddess of wisdom Athena. That Athens has a history of thousands of years, that is the cradle of one of the greatest civilization which invented and developed the politics, mathematics, architecture ,arts and a lot more. And that today Athens looks like all the capitals with a small difference :the acropolis and the Parthenon Temple, the most important and well preserved heritage of the Ancient Greek civilization, stands proudly over the busy town. And this image I must say that amazed me a lot and I wanted to see it in person.
2. Did you travel alone or with your family/friends (how many) ?
I traveled only with my wife, before I got married I traveled alone or with some friends but know the situation is other. I love to be around her and I think that this vacation was to us just like our honey-moon because we did not had one an fortunately.
3. How much time did you spend finding out information about this location and what resources did you use to do it (online sites/traveling agencies/friends).
I think that it took me just few hours, in that day when I was to the travel agency, and that girl from the agency convinced me in little time that Athens is the best choice I could ever do. And when I left I took with a brochure to show to my wife where I want to take her in our honey moon.
4. Can you tell us the thing you like most in this place?
All was perfect, and I liked all that I saw in this busy city, from the sightseeing tot the services, the rooms. This city has a lot to offer not only to the tourist.
5. What were the bad/ugly sides of your vacation?
I think that the bad side of this trip was that we wanted to visit so many historic places but the extra trips which were not included in the cost of the vacation were too expensive, and we could not afford to go in as many as we wanted.
6. How was your room (did you had everything you need).
Our room was perfect, I have nothing to complain , the accommodation and the conditions were great, we had T.V., a mini bar, and the room-service was very prompt, which says a lot about one hotel, in my opinion of course.
7. Did you take a digital camera (what model), a laptop or any other gadgets with you? (name of the gadget).
I took with me my digital camera my Kyocera S5 R, my mp3 player and of course my Panasonic Camcorder SDR S-100, only these ones.
8. How were the people there (the reception and people you meet)
The people here were very nice, I was amazed that a lot of Polish people work here so I felt just like home.
9. Did you make any new friends (are you still keeping in touch).
Yes I made some friends, some polish people who work there who were very nice and friendly with us and I must say that I still keep in touch with them, not every day but once a week we talk on the phone and send emails.
10. How did you spend your time? Did you participate in any recreational activities?
Most of our time we spend it visiting, and we also participate to recreational activities like water sports competition, horse riding, windsurfing and cycling on the streets, all these were very relaxing.
11. What places did you visited? (Museums, resorts, sport facilities)
We visited all that our money afford us, the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Theatre of Dionysus, the Erechteion , the Temple of Athena Nike, the stoa of Eumenes , the Propylaea, the Acropolis Museum, the National Archeological Museum of Athens and a lot more places.
12. What other vacation location would you recommend to the public?
My other recommendation to the public is Spain, and Egypt, there are some locations which I visited them and where I felt good.
