1. What was your favorite vacation location and how did you heard about it?
My favorite vacation location is New York , I've heard of this location of this location from some friends who were there and who were impressed of the beauties of the city and who decided to stay there and start a new life in the capital of the world. Me and my friend received an invitation last summer from these friends so I spend there my best vacation ever.
2. Did you travel alone or with your family/friends (how many) ?
I traveled with my best friend and it was very exciting because it was our first time when we traveled by plane . Our emotions grew higher and higher when we got close to New York. At the airport I saw a lot of foreigners who came there to work or to visit this incredible city and I must say I was amazed by the number of these foreigners, I think I never seen so many people in only one place.
3. How much time did you spend finding out information about this location and what resources did you use to do it (online sites/traveling agencies/friends).
I gathered the informations I needed from my friends who live there, from the internet, from the brochures that I took from the American Embassy and of course from the traveling agencies where I got familiarized with the costs of the trip and with the flights ,because we had to change airplanes, I took the second plane from London directly to New York.
4. Can you tell us the thing you like most in this place?
The thing that I liked most in this place were definitely the monumental buildings, the Statue of Liberty, the parks. Everything was great, New York is an unique city, it's like you are in the middle of the world because it is considered to be the economic center of the world. Since the Twins Towers collapsed my biggest dream was to visit the Ground Zero where a lot of people saw their end there and until today their memories are still there.
5. What were the bad/ugly sides of your vacation?
I think that the ugly side of my vacation was the every day crowd from the streets and sometimes the bad weather that kept us in the house.
6. How was your room (did you had everything you need).
My friends live in a big suit and me and my friend shared a room, which was very big and comfortable and most of all we had the perfect view-the beach and the ocean. So I must say that we had all the comfort we needed ,they even gave us a computer for us to stay on the internet or to play when we were in the mood and when the weather was bad .
7. Did you take a digital camera (what model), a laptop or any other gadgets with you? (name of the gadget).
I took with me in vacation my digital camera, my Pentax DB 800, and of course my Ipod, because I can not stay to long far away from my music .
8. How were the people there (the reception and people you meet)
The people from New York are very kind and everybody knows this. One time when needed help on the street and we didn't know where to go they always gave us guiding and an helping hand.
9. Did you make any new friends (are you still keeping in touch).
Yes I made some new friends there, they are our friend's neighbors and we spend most of our time together and sometimes they were our guiding men in the city.
10. How did you spend your time? Did you participate in any recreational activities?
During the day we went visiting and walking on the streets for hours. And when the weather was bad we played a lot of chess so I consider this a recreational activity. But we had the chance to participate to the 78th Annual Feast of San Gennaro and to the 36th Annual African American Day Parade in all Manhattan, the Richmond County Fair on Staten Island which amazed us in every possible way.
11. What places did you visited? (Museums, resorts, sport facilities)
First of all Ground Zero, the statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Chrysler buildings, the National park and many others but in these places I was more than one time because I liked them a lot.
12. What other vacation location would you recommend to the public?
During my visit to New York I visited also Washington D.C. to see the famous White House and the Pentagon so I think that this city is my recommendation for the public.
