1. What was your favorite vacation location and how did you heard about it?
I think that my favorite vacation location is Singapore, I wanted to go in a place where to discover a lot of interesting things in only one city. I found out of this location from a T.V. show that I saw one day, I was simply charmed of its rich ethnic, cultural and historical heritage through the sights and the sound of bustling ethnic enclaves and the civic district. I heard there when the stress of urban living starts to take its toll, you can relax, refresh and rejuvenate at one of numerous spas, and the most famous is Singapore’s very first outdoor spa, Spa Botanica Sentosa. Here I discovered that lush greenery throughout the island offers a welcome respite from the bustle of urban life. In a side of the town there are magnificent buildings, where the cosmopolitan people have their lives but in the other side of the town there are well preserved pockets of nature reserves, many gardens and parks all within easy access. It house a wide diversity of flora and fauna in this Garden City. It was like I where in different places , both all these were in a single city.
2. Did you travel alone or with your family/friends (how many) ?
I traveled with my daughter and her husband, because my husband past away. I always went in a vacation with him but now that he is gone my daughter wanted very much to accompany me so that I won’t be alone, and I think that was so sweet of her side to be next to me.
3. How much time did you spend finding out information about this location and what resources did you use to do it (online sites/traveling agencies/friends).
I did not spend so much time searching for the informations because I just gave a call to the Television Center where I work and they send me a fax with all the informations I needed and which they gathered from the internet I think. They also put me in a direct contact with a travel agency which made online the reservations so I did not move a finger and this location was my dream vacation.
4. Can you tell us the thing you like most in this place?
There were many things that amazed me and among them is Singapore’s melting pot of cultures, innovation and fusion between different culinary expertise and backgrounds which has inspired a dizzying variety of cuisine and dining experiences. From the food streets in Chinatown and local hawker centers to chic cafes and elegant restaurants, where you can indulge in international cuisine or national signature dishes like Hainanese chicken rice and chili crab. And I most not forget the truly retail therapy heaven for me was that Singapore offers an incredible diversity from designer togs and luxury labels along Orchard Road to quaint handicrafts and charming souvenirs at ethnic districts.
