1. What was your favorite vacation location and how did you heard about it?
I think that my favorite vacation location is Madrid, the capital city of Spain, located in the heart of the Balkan peninsula and right in the center of the Castillian plain. It was my best vacation ever because I was one more time with my parents. They’ve gone from home to Alcala de Henares, a city about 30 km far away from Madrid, they’ve gone there to work with a contract of course, but in was 6 years until I saw them again, and it was very hard for me not to be with my parents. So this trip was perfect because I was with my parents and because I visited one of the most romantic places in the world, in my opinion of course. So this summer me and my big sister went in a visit to our parents and we visit Madrid the biggest city from Spain, which was incredible, I don’t think that I saw something similar. Everyone knows that Madrid is cosmopolitan and a business center which is characterized by an intense cultural and artistic activity and a very lively nightlife. I was simply amazed by all the beauties of the town and its landscapes.
2. Did you travel alone or with your family/friends (how many) ?
I traveled only with my big sister, and there we gathered our family and felt like home even we did not been to our home. So we were 2 persons and with our parents altogether were 4 persons.
3. How much time did you spend finding out information about this location and what resources did you use to do it (online sites/traveling agencies/friends).
I did not spend so much time searching for the informations about Spain, because our parents gave us all the informations we needed, and they also made the reservations and bought the tickets. But before the vacation accidentally I found out a web page on the internet about Madrid and I liked what I saw and I was very happy when I found out that Alcala de Henares is close to Madrid, so I wanted so much to visit this city and parents promised me that they will take me there if I really want.
4. Can you tell us the thing you like most in this place?
It was so many things that I liked during my vacation, I simply fell in love with Madrid, with all its beauties, landscapes and its surroundings. But most of all I like the Royal Palace, El Palacio Real, like the Spanish say, which was very big and what was really interesting was that it was no longer used as a residence, but is has been kept intact since it last functioned as home to the kings, and primarily serving as a tourist attraction. The entire palace is not open to the public, but most of the more important rooms can be visited.
5. What were the bad/ugly sides of your vacation?
I think that the bad side of this vacation was that we had to return home but I did not left from there until my parents promise to me that very soon I will return.
6. How was your room (did you had everything you need).
My room was perfect, I had my own room so I think that this was the best thing. My parents bought a little house and all was like a fairy tale and very comfortable.
7. Did you take a digital camera (what model), a laptop or any other gadgets with you? (name of the gadget).
I only took the family digital camera, a Pentax DB 100, which is always our best company in a vacation.
8. How were the people there (the reception and people you meet)
Everyone was very friendly and nice, because I think that all knew something about us from our parents, and they all were very happy to meet as finally .
9. Did you make any new friends (are you still keeping in touch).
Yes I made a lot of friends, some Spanish children and a more lot of nations children, including Polish and Swedish. And I still keep in touch with them probably every day since I left from Spain.
10. How did you spend your time? Did you participate in any recreational activities?
We most of our time spend it relaxing and visiting all the surroundings of Madrid and of course of Alcala de Henares. The historic sights really impressed me in a very good way.
11. What places did you visited? (Museums, resorts, sport facilities)
We visited so many places, almost all that can be visited. First of all it was the Royal Palace, el Museo del Prado, el Museo Thyssen Bornemisza , La Fundation de la Casa Alba , el Panteon de Goya, the Botanical Garden and of course el Parque del Retiro, one of the largest and most beautiful of all Madrid’s parks.
12. What other vacation location would you recommend to the public?
My other recommendation to the public is Barcelona, another city from Spain which was really beautiful.
