1. What was your favorite vacation location and how did you heard about it?
My favorite vacation location is Ulm,from Germany. I was there in 2001-2002,I spent my Christmas and New Year’s Eve there,my brother lives there and he invited me and my family to spend our holly days there. My brother moved to Ulm couple of years ago and he got married again there and once a year we visit each other.
2. Did you travel alone or with your family/friends (how many) ?
I traveled with my family,my husband and my daughter who also enjoyed our trip very much. Every time I go to holiday I always take my family with me,I like to know them around me all the time.
3. How much time did you spend finding out information about this location and what resources did you use to do it (online sites/traveling agencies/friends).
Like I said my brother moved there after he knew one girl from Ulm and decided to marry one more time and he always sends us postcards with historic monuments and those postcards made me very curious and I said that one day I will go and visit them.
4. Can you tell us the thing you like most in this place?
Once we were at Constanz Lake at the border of Germany and what impresed me most that I saw the Alps through a telescope and it was overwhelming because it was like I was really down to Alps and I raised my look and saw the Alps and all their beauty.
5. What were the bad/ugly sides of your vacation?
The bad side of our vacation was definitely the weather,it was very cold and sometimes because of it we stayed a lot in the house around the fire. So this wasn’t so good for us we wanted to visit,to see the city.
6. How was your room (did you had everything you need).
My brother arranged two big and comfortable rooms for us,my daughter was happy because she had her own T.V. and I must say that we had all the comfort we needed during our staying.
7. Did you take a digital camera (what model), a laptop or any other gadgets with you? (name of the gadget).
We took with us our video recorder, but we needed a digital camera also and we decided to buy one from Ulm. So we bought a Lumix DMC-FX8 and I think that we made the best choice ever.
8. How were the people there (the reception and people you meet)
In Germany I met the coldest people. I don’t know their language and when we talked with them ,speaking with in English and trying to find some informations, they turned their back and I was amazed about this.
9. Did you make any new friends (are you still keeping in touch).
I did made some friends ,we met there 2 families and every night we gathered and we also celebrated together Christmas and New Year’s Eve. We keep in touch any by talking at the phone and I hope that this year to meet them again.
10. How did you spend your time? Did you participate in any recreational activities?
When the weather allowed us,we went visiting the city ,we made visits to our new friends. There it is a tradition about cutting the Christmas tree,so all the family went to take part at this big event and we celebrated the holidays in family, the thing that I like most.
11. What places did you visited? (Museums, resorts, sport facilities)
First of all it was the Constanz Lake and when to weather was good we went to Heilbron, the Breadmaking Museum. The Ulm Federal Fortress and of course The Wiblingen Abbey.
12. What other vacation location would you recommend to the public?
I recommend places were it’s warm, especially the South-East of Germany, were the people are warmer and were you have a lot more to visit.
