1. What was your favorite vacation location and how did you heard about it?
Victoria, BC in Canada is a great place to visit, in fact, we're considering maybe moving there. I've always loved Vancouver Island, but it's been years since we visited.
2. Did you travel alone or with your family/friends (how many) ?
Usually with my daughter, sometime with more people.
3. How much time did you spend finding out information about this location and what resources did you use to do it (online sites/traveling agencies/friends).
Maybe an hour to check out both Washington and BC Ferries, which route to follow to get there, and where to stay in Victoria.
4. Can you tell us the thing you like most in this place?
The people, the great views and historic architecture, and the food. We discovered a small grocery store that makes sushi on-site, and it was the best I'd ever had! And I love sushi.
5. What were the bad/ugly sides of your vacation?
Things are bit more expensive in Canada, especially gas...and booze :)
6. How was your room (did you had everything you need).
Really great. We stayed in the Trendwest Worldmark Club resort, and everything was very nice, the views were perfect, and it was close to everything we wanted to do.
7. Did you take a digital camera (what model), a laptop or any other gadgets with you? (name of the gadget).
Canon S45 digital camera, and an analog Pentax camera.
8. How did you traveled? Using a car/train/plane/foot ? How was the service on it?Were you pleased?
Car and ferry. We used Washington State Ferries to go up to Sydney, and while it was a pleasant trip, this turned out to be the most expensive option we could have taken. We used BC Ferries to return, and I really appreciated their online reservation process. WA Ferries was not as good.
9. Did you make any new friends (are you still keeping in touch).
We have family up there, so "Yes".
10. How did you spend your time? Did you participate in any recreational activities?
Shopping, eating out, and going to historic sites and parks.
11. What places did you visited? (Museums, resorts, sport facilities)
Parliament, walking the beach, Carnarvon House, art museum.
12. What other vacation location would you recommend to the public?
Sequim Washington (we love to camp at Dungeness), Olympic Peninsula, Portland and Ashland in Oregon.
